Mark chapter 3. Let me begin reading. Beginning at verse 10 of that
third chapter. This has to do with our Lord
Jesus, for he, that's the Lord Jesus, had healed many. He had healed many. As a matter
of fact, he healed all that had place. All those that needed healed,
he healed. There was no disease. No affliction
that was too great for him to heal. It doesn't say here that
he tried to heal a few but couldn't do it. He healed all those that
had need to be healed. There was a lot of them. For
he had healed many insomuch that they pressed upon him for to
touch him, as many as had plagues. And unclean spirits, when they
saw him, fell down before him and cried, saying, Thou art the
Son of God." Unclean spirits, messengers of Satan, messengers
from hell. They acknowledged. They knew
who he was. They said, Thou art the Son of
God. And he straightly charged them
that they should not make him known. And he goeth up into a mountain,
and he called unto him whom he would." He didn't call all, but
he called selectively. He called whom he would. He called whom he willed. He
didn't call all of them. Some had no opportunity. He didn't
call them. He just picked out this one,
picked out that one, picked out this one, and called them unto
himself. That's what it says. I guess
it means what it says. And it says that they came unto
him. was not any bickering or weighing
the situation as to what would be the best thing for me to do.
He called whom he would, and those he called, his call was
effectual. How do you know it was effectual?
Because they came, see? That's how you know that it's
effectual. The Bible says to make your calling
and election sure. How do you make your calling
and election sure? When you come to the Lord Jesus
Christ, you come because He called you here in time. And then you come because He
elected you to come before time ever was. Well, they came unto
him, and he ordained twelve of them, ordained twelve, set them
apart for the public ministry, to be witnesses of him, the Son
of God. He ordained twelve that they
should be with him, that he might send them forth to preach. Now when a man preaches, the
truth as in Jesus, it's because God has ordained, and God has
called, and God has sent him forth to preach, to preach him
whom to know is life eternal, and to have power to heal sicknesses
and cast out devils. And Simon, he surnamed Peter. And James, the son of Zebedee,
and John, the brother of James, he surnamed them Boan Gerges,
which is the Sons of Thunder. And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew,
and Matthew, and Thomas, and James, the son of Alphaeus, and
Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite. And Judas Iscariot, which also
betrayed him, and they went into the house. into anthouse, into
somebody's home. And the multitude cometh together
again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. That is,
that this pressing crowd was so demanding upon his time
that they didn't have time enough to get a bite to eat. And when his friends heard of
it, they went out to lay hold on him, for they said he is beside
himself." Something matters to this fellow. And the scribes, which came down
from Jerusalem, the element of religion, when they came down,
they said, Beelzebub and by the prince of
the devils cast he out devils. That's what they charged the
Lord Jesus Christ with. They said he's in league with
the chief of devils. He's joined company with the
chief of devils and what he's doing here These people that
were diseased and afflicted and had these various plagues, he
healed them. They said how he come to do that
is because he's joined up with the devil. And he called unto them and said
unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? How can he do that? If I'm in
league with him and doing this through his power, how can Satan
cast out Satan? He's already cast out devils.
Over here it says, unclean spirits, messengers of hell. When they saw him, fell down
before him and cried, saying, Thou son of God, how can I cast
these out? How can Satan cast out Satan?
Why, he said, it's reasonable. If a kingdom be divided against
itself, that kingdom can't stand. And if a house be divided against
itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against
himself and be divided, he cannot stand, but he'll come to a bad
end. No man can enter into a strong
man's house and spoil his goods. That is, no man can enter this
strong man's house that has his house guarded and fortified and
come in and take what belongs to him, except he will first
bind that strong man. Man can't come in there unless
he binds him. He's got to render him impotent. He's got to do
him in. He's got to overcome him. His house is fortified. All right? Except he will first find the
strong man, and then he'll spoil his house. Then he'll take what
he's got. Verily I say unto you, all sin
shall be forgiven you, or shall be forgiven unto the sons of
men, and blasphemies wherewithsoever they shall blaspheme. That is,
all sin shall be forgiven. whatever nature or character
that the sin might be, all these sins, blaspheming against one
another and against God and all that, shall be forgiven. That's
what he said. But he that shall blaspheme against
the Holy Spirit hath never forgiven. He cannot be forgiven. He never
will be forgiven in time or eternity. But he is in danger of eternal
damnation because he hath an unclean spirit. Well, that's
as far as I'll read. Well, in these passages that
I read to you, we have mercy, and we have judgment. Mercy in
the declaration of the Son of God when he said, All sins shall
be forgiven unto the sons of men. That is, it does not matter
what the nature or the character of the sins of any child of God
may be, Forgiveness is provided. That's mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy. Thank God for the mercy of God
that He hath provided. He hath provided forgiveness
for the fires of the fire, for the worst of the worst, regardless
of what He's done, said, or thought. There is forgiveness. That's
the mercy of God. Forgiveness is provided. Forgiveness
is secured. Forgiveness is certain. Forgiveness
is everlasting. And forgiveness is irrevocable. Once you've got it, you can't
lose it. It's certain as there is a God
in heaven who provides. It's as sure as two and two is
four. It's a done deal. What's he saying here? He's saying,
I read this from an old Puritan author whose name was John Kent. And my, how this grabbed a hold
of me, because I often make remarks similar to what he said in his
four verses of prose here. He says, here's pardon, full,
for sin that's past. Can you get a hold of that? Here's
pardon, for pardon full, for sin that's past. It matters not
how black the cast. and, O my soul, with wonder of
you, for sins to come." There's part two. Isn't that something? Isn't that wonderful? Oh, that's the good news. If
you ever hear that news, you'll never have no bad news. You can't
have any bad news in light of the good news. The worst thing
that you've got to face in time and eternity is your awful, dirty,
nasty, corrupt sins. But if you've got the news from
a far country that the king's not mad at you, that he's provided
pardon and forgiveness for sins of yesterday, for sins of today,
and for sins to come. and they're everlastingly, and
they're not irrevocable. For they are. Pardon and forgiveness
is not. It can't be taken away. In essence. All right. In light of that,
then, let me say this. Now, does that give a recipient
of this, of this truth in Jesus Christ, as to the accomplishing
our redemption, full and free, and being complete in Him, and
having nothing whatsoever to fear, not even death or judgment. Hell, he doesn't have anything
to fear. Now, does this give that man
a free reign or a license to loose living and sin? Never! Never. All that's necessary
for a child of God to sin is that he be left to himself. That's all that's necessary,
is just for you to be left to yourself, left to your will. That's all that's necessary for
you to sin. But he said, Christ in you the
hope of glory. Greater is He that is in you
than he that is in the world. He has said, I'll never leave
thee, nor forsake thee. All that a man, a child of God
needs to sin is to be left by himself. You're left by yourself,
everything you do is sin. The plowing of the wicked, the
Bible says, is sin. The very thought of foolishness
is sin. You can't even breathe without
sinning, man by nature, because you're left to yourself. Listen
to me. Over here in the book of Proverbs,
I think it's chapter 19. There's a verse. I'll read it
to you in connection with what I've said. Chapter 19. I'm not sure now where it's at.
But anyhow, here's what it is. I haven't got time to look it
up right now. Here's the verse of Scripture that I want you
to see in connection with what I've said. All that's necessary
for a saint to sin is that he be left to himself. A sinner
left to himself to the full vent of his own inclination can do
nothing but sin against God. but a sinner taken in hand by
the God of all grace and taught by the God of all grace the true
nature of what sin is and the awful consequence of sin, my
brethren, he cannot help but love and honor and cherish God,
and he will not practice sin. Loose living will not be in his
makeup, as the saved sinner is led by the Spirit of the living
God into the gloomy, awful blackness and darkness of Gethsemane as
he goes there, as the gospel is preached to him. of the untold, unknown sufferings
of the Lord Jesus Christ. And he beholds incarnate love
bleeding from this intense suffering when he sees and feels the blood
as it oozes from every pore in the body of the Lord Jesus Christ. And when he comes to know this,
and feel it and see it, that all the sufferings and the pain
and the agonies and the groans and the cries of this man hanging
on the tree, he'll find that sin is very painful to him when
he has that experience. And he'll not be a loose liver. He'll not have a reign in his
hands to sin with a high hand against God. He doesn't want
to sin. One sin's too much for him. He
doesn't want to live in sin and practice sin and enjoy a life
of so-called sin. He doesn't want that. Once God,
the God of all grace, has done something for him, and he's seen
the Lord Jesus Christ. suffering and agony, and he understands
that this is all for me. For me! Remember I told you the
other night about the Lord's suffering? When we properly view
the death of the Lord Jesus Christ, when we see Him dying, when we
hear of the death of Jesus Christ and the shedding of His blood
and the awful agony and suffering that He underwent, all the cursing and the bitterness
and the rod of justice that fell upon him, stroke after stroke
after stroke after stroke. When we enter into that and see
that, we know that we were so bad. We were so filthy, we were
so ungodly, we were such terrible sinners, we were so far off from
God that it took God Himself to become a man and suffer in
our place and in our stead in order that we might enjoy a forgiveness
now, secured by the hand of God, wrought by the Spirit of the
living God. Oh, we cannot. sin with a high
hand when we come to see and understand that. Can't do it.
Oh, no. Oh, we'll hate it. We'll go like,
say like old Job. Job said, Behold, he said, I'm
vile. I'm vile and I hate myself. After it got a glimpse, a glimpse
of God Almighty. Look at that again with me. All
sins, it says. All sins shall be forgiven you. You remember the name John Newton? John Newton, he wrote that hymn
that we sing so many times, Amazing Grace How Sweet the Sound. John
Newton wrote that hymn. Do you know who John Newton was?
John Newton styled himself to be called the African blasphemer. He called himself that. He was
God finally saved, John Newton. And after he was saved and gave
his life to God completely, a preacher that was highly respected back
yonder there in the 18th century. gave his time to the preaching
of the gospel, gave his time to the writing of hymns. He said,
I'm an African blasphemer. He said this after he was brought
and bought by the sovereign mercy of God to enjoy the full fruit,
sweet fruit of the forgiveness of sins. He said, even me, an
African blasphemer. He said, all of my sins have
been forgiven. He had all nature and character
of sin that he had committed there in Africa. He took men,
he took men and chained them and sold them. He lived with
African women and took them to be his mistress, and they took
him. And he said he is an African blasphemer. But he said, oh,
when I think of the enjoyment that I have, that all of my sins. But listen now, I said all that,
that's mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, and then there's judgment.
Talk about mercy now. You and I, we the recipients
of the Lord Jesus, all sins. Don't. No need to grieve over past sins.
You can't do anything about it. They're forgiven. They're under
the blood. You can't change what's taken
place. Don't worry about that. They're
forgiven. All sins are forgiven. Sins right
now. Sins tomorrow. They're forgiven.
That's the good news, that Christ took away our sins. No judgment
for us. Now, you can only worship God
aright When you understand that, when you believe that, when you
see that, that's the only time you can worship. You can't worship
any other time. That's necessary. It's necessary. And that's what old John Newton
was talking about. All right, but listen. He said,
Now all sin shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, all of
them. Blasphemies, wherewith, soever, they shall blaspheme.
they'll be forgiven, but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy
Ghost hath never forgiven." This is condemnation, this is judgment
right here. Now, why is he saying this? He's saying this because
of what's said up here. They said he is beside himself,
and then the scribes representative of established religion, who
did not believe in God's Christ, they said, he hath Belzebub,
and by the prince of devils, casteth he out devils. He that shall blaspheme. That's what blasphemy is. to
attribute the work of Jesus Christ to a devil. That's blasphemy.
If a man ever does that, there's no hope for him, no forgiveness. But he says in this other verse,
prior to that, that I've read twice here, all sins shall be
forgiven unto the sons of men, unto the children of God, wherewithsoever
they show blaspheme and blaspheming. But, whoever blasphemes against
the Holy Ghost, oh, listen, that's the secret to this blaspheming
that cannot be forgiven. The secret to this awful sin
is, is because they said he had an unclean spirit. He's of the devil. attributed the work of the Lord
Jesus Christ to the agency of the devil himself. But you know
and I know who know anything at all of the Word of God. We
know that our Lord Jesus Christ never did anything in the accomplishment
of salvation but by the Holy Spirit, not in league with the
devil but by the Holy Spirit. Now, I said all that to say this. Verse 27 says, No man can enter
into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will
first bind the strong man, then he will spoil his house. Now, who is that strong man?
That strong man is the devil. That's who that is. That's what
our Lord's talking about here. He's talking about this strong
man. And this strong man, he's well armed. The devil is, he's
got a lot of armor on, and the same armor that he has, he uses
to clothe his people. The Lord's got some people, and
the devil's got some people. It's about the way it could be
said, I suspect. Who's this strong man? He's the
devil, Satan. He's strong. to deceive. He deceives man. He says he's
a strong man. He's strong to deceive. He has
angels. He has angels, and men call them
the angels of light. And they're not angels of light,
they're angels of darkness. He's strong to deceive. He's strong to delude. He's strong
to destroy. He's represented in the Bible
as having the power of death. He's called Satan, the adversary
of God and the adversary of man. And he is the chief enemy of
God, and especially the enemy of the Holy Spirit, and especially,
more so, the enemy of the Son of God. He's the prince and the
power of the air, the Scriptures say. The Bible says that he's
the God of this world. That's the strong man. That's
the strong man. Strong to deceive, strong to
destroy, strong to delude. He's the power of the—has the
power of the prince of the air. He's the God of this world. He's
strong. This is our chief enemy. He's
the chief enemy of God. He's the chief enemy of man.
Your enemy is not yourself. It's the devil. Listen, from the moment that
sin entered into this world, His power, the power of this
strong man, has been universally felt. The natural heart is his
fortress which he holds his peace. Now, he holds this peace in the
quietness of spiritual death. All men, by nature, are spiritually
dead. I was talking to a fellow yesterday,
and we talked a little bit about this. And he said, well, what
about the devil? Does he give a man a hard time
when he vows to the Lord Jesus Christ and swears his allegiance
to the Son of God and vows, determines in his heart that Christ is his
all, and he's determined to spend the rest of his life following
the Lord Jesus Christ. As he said, does that kind of
a person, is he assaulted by the strong man? Oh, yeah. He's assaulted by the strong
man. Oh, assaulted by Satan and assaulted
by the messengers of hell with such irresistible charm, the
father of lies, the strong man, he's the father of lies. Now,
with his charm and with his power, he deceived Mother Eve in the
Garden of Eden. He deceived her, allured her
into transgression. Do you remember that? He deceived
Eve. Now, let me read something to
you over here in, I think it's 1 Timothy. Let me see if I can
find that real quick. 1 Timothy 2 and 14. Listen to this. Verse 13 says, For Adam was firstborn. God made Adam first, and he made
Eve out of a part of Adam. Now, for Adam was first formed
in Eve, verse 14, and Adam was not deceived. And Adam was not
deceived. But the woman being deceived
was in the transgression. Now, I said from the very moment
that sin entered into this world, the power of sin and the devil is universally
felt. And I've also said that because
a man has vowed to the Lord Jesus,
and he's a believer and a child of God and a saint of God, he'll
never be lost. I've said that. Yet he's not immune. He's not
immune from the assaults and the attacks of a strong man. I'm telling you that when it
first started, when it first started back there in the Gargamene.
The woman being deceived, he deceived that woman. The woman
was sinless. She didn't have no sin. She was
sinless. And he deceived her. He charmed her. He allured her
into transgression. A strong man. If he can get to her, he can
get to you. I hear these preachers talking about pointing their
finger at the devil and telling the devil to get down, they're
going to whip the devil, knock the devil down and all that,
and then they stand back and laugh. Oh, they can't contend
with the devil. The devil's too much for them.
Only the stronger man can do anything about it. There's a
strong man and there's a stronger man. If the stronger man invades
the strong man's house, he'll tear the door down. and he'll
spoil the goods inside. He'll overcome him if he does
it, but you can't do it. I can't do it. Let me tell you
about old Eve here. I said she was deceived and charmed
and lured into transgression. Her transgression was that she
believed what the devil said. She was deceived. She was sinless,
but she was deceived, and she believed what the devil said,
and she ate. of that forbidden fruit. And that was a violation. He said, Don't sound like much.
Well, it don't sound like much to you or to me, but it was to
God. She gave her allegiance to another. Now, and then this
loved woman. Remember that phrase, loved woman. She was a loved woman. Who loved
her? Well, I know this. Adam loved
her. Adam loved his wife. Now, notice,
this loved woman, by her transgression, being lured into this sin, being
deceived by the strong man, she obtained power over the man. This loved woman, loved by Adam,
by her transgression and being deceived by the strongman, she
obtained power over the man. Now, listen, I already read to
you in 1 Timothy 2 and 14 that Adam was not deceived. Now, the
Bible says that Adam was a figure of him that was to come. Adam was a type of the Lord Jesus
Christ who was to come. Adam was that type. The first
Adam, and then the second Adam. The first Adam is a type, symbolically,
of the real and true Adam who was to come, the Lord Jesus Christ. Now see this. Loved Eve when she was fallen. He loved her when she was fallen,
and yet he stood. He loved her. Now, when she was
a sinner, and he was sinless, he loved
her. You see the point I'm trying
to make? She sinned first. She was deceived, Adam was not
deceived. Adam wasn't deceived. But Adam
loved his wife. When she was a sinner, Adam stood
firm. When she was covered with guilt
and covered with shame, he, Adam, was free from both guilt and
shame. The love in Adam's heart burned
into a flame, and to her this love that he had for his wife
burned in his heart towards her in spite of what she did. He loved her in spite of everything. Him being sinless and her being
a sinner, yet he loved her. Oh, listen, in all of her sin,
in all of her shame, in all of her weakness, he loved her in
spite of everything. He knew what he was doing. He
was not deceived. She was deceived. He's the type
of the Lord Jesus Christ. He knew what he was doing, and
he loved her in spite of what she had done and in spite of
what she did. Well, someone said, He knew what
he was doing, and he sinned like a gentleman. Adam sinned out of pure love
for his wife, and before he would be parted from her. He's a type of Christ. He's a
type of the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved her. He loved her. Pure love to his wife. And before
he would be divorced from her, before he would be separated
from his fallen wife, he would be lost and be damned with her. Is that what it says? That's
how much he loved her. That's the first Adam. He's a
figure of him who is to come, the second Adam, the Lord Jesus
Christ. He loved us in spite of what we were. He knew what
we were, all of our sins, all of our blasphemies, all of our
profanities, all of our obscenities, all of our fleshly well-doing. He knew all of this, and yet
he loved us. And he would be damned before
he'd be parted, before he'd be separated from us. That's the
gospel, brethren. That's what the gospel is about,
that our Lord stood as a substitute, become one of us. God become
a man. And as a man stood in our place,
in our room, in our stead, he loved us so that he would not
be parted from us. He would have us even if he was
lost and damned himself on that tree. He would have us. redemption. No wonder the Bible
keeps talking about we've been complete in Him. Thank God we
are. Ah, this strong man, well, he
does assault the children of God. He'll assault you. He'll try to destroy you if he
can. There's a time the Bible says that The bunch of them gathered before
God, and the devil was one of them. And our Lord, God Almighty,
said, where have you been? He said, going up and down the
earth, seeking whom I might devour, might destroy somebody. He said,
I'd do it if you didn't have a hedge around these fellows.
He said, well, the Lord said, well, what about my righteous
servant Job? He said, can you get to him? He said, if you'd
let me at him, he said, you've got a fence around him and I
can't get to it. But if you let me at him, oh,
he'll attack you. He'll attack you. That's the
reason why the children of God have so many problems, domestic
problems in their home and all that, with their wives and their
children. Out to destroy them. Well, this
strong man, Oh, he's armed. Let me read something here in
John chapter 8, I believe it is, verse 44. Listen to this. He's strong. Strong man, see? Strong man's
arm. Notice what it says here. Our
Lord says, Why do ye not understand my speech? How come men don't
understand what I'm saying? How come men won't hear my word? How come men won't believe that
I'm the Son of God whom God has sent to be the redemption of
his people? How come people won't believe
that? Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because you cannot
hear my word, ye are of your father the devil. Now, notice,
it does not say the works of your father you will do. Notice
what it does say. It says, and the lust of your
father ye will do. The lust of your father, that's
what you'll do. This strong man, this strong
man that has this fortress, and the fortress is in man's natural
heart, that's where it's at. And no man can break into that
natural heart. and cast the devil out or do
anything relative to the devil, except he'd be stronger than
the devil. Well, we're not stronger than
the devil. He still assaults and attacks
us. But there is one who is stronger
than the devil. And if he invades his fortress
and tears his house down and leaves the captive free, he'll
be all right. But this man, this strong man,
it says not the words but the lusts of the devil. Well, the
devil's children, they're all led captive by him after his
will, and he clothes them with a strong armor. And I think that one of the pieces
that makes up this armor that he clothes the children of the
devil in. The first part of that armor
is unbelief. Unbelief. You see, unbelief is
part of that armor. Unbelief. The world is wrapped
up in unbelief. Isn't that right? They're wrapped
up in unbelief. The whole wide world except for
a few. That the stronger man has came
and led captives, or led into captivity, taking those that
were held by the strongman in that prison and set them free.
The rest of the world is wrapped up in darkness and unbelief. That's easily seen. Why is it
that the President of the United States, and God forbid I'm not
criticizing the President of the United States and his actions
just to be doing it, but why is it that the President of the
United States spends all of his time worrying about the homosexuals. Instead of coming right out,
instead of coming right out like I'm going to right now and saying
that homosexuality and lesbians is immoral and it's an immoral
act and God's angry with it every day. Why not say that? Instead of saying, well, after
all, they are men and women, and we got to live together,
and let's make some way out for them, and all that kind of business. Huh? Well, why? He takes that. The world's wrapped up in unbelief.
The world doesn't believe God, or they don't believe He's true.
Okay? That's the reason. That's the
reason why there's maybe 65 or 70 of us here this morning. Why
wouldn't it be 170 or 370? Why wouldn't it be that many?
Because the world's wrapped up in unbelief. Don't believe God,
huh? Man by nature does not believe
God. Man by nature does not believe
in the Lord Jesus Christ. Man by nature does not believe
the Holy Spirit. Man by nature does not believe
the ministers of Jesus Christ. Man by nature does not believe
in the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Why doesn't he? Because he is full of unbelief. Why? Because the Bible says he
loves darkness rather than light. He loves darkness. He's wrapped
up in unbelief. Why is it that everybody loves
a God who loves everybody else? Now, the world that's wrapped
up in unbelief, they believe that if there is such a Spirit
as God Almighty, whatever name you might be pleased to call
Him, if there is one, They know for sure that he loves everybody. Now, they believe that kind of
a God, but I've already read to you where he, when he chose
his disciples, he called whom he would. He didn't make all
of them disciples. The God that nobody's mad at.
Nobody's mad at their God. Nobody's mad at this world's
God. They love their God. But the Bible says that Satan's
children, part of their armor, part of their armor is unbelief. And part of it is ignorance. Part of it is ignorance. And
they don't believe God. This whole world doesn't believe
God. Left to themselves, where will
they go? The world is wrapped up in it,
wrapped up in it. He doesn't come to the Lord Jesus
Christ because he loves darkness and he hates the light. And he
resists every approach of the truth of God. He just steels himself against
any phase of the truth of God. The prince of darkness, the strong
man, holds him, Bob, with a tight hand, holds him with a tight
fist, and he can't get loose. He doesn't want to get loose.
The devil holds him fast and would never give him up. Listen
to me. He'd never give him up if it
were not for the superior power of a stronger man, the man Christ
Jesus. And the devil and all of his
power, he can't have his way always. He can't have his way. The stronger man will come and
invade his territory and relieve him of some of his captives. Who are those? Those that believe
the unadulterated, glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ that
I've been trying to preach. He's got to give them up. He's
got to give them up. Well, indifference, too, is a
tough piece of the devil's armor. Well, you say, why is it that
a man doesn't believe? Well, I'll tell you why. Because
he's preoccupied. He's pre-engaged. He's predisposed in carnal, devilish,
worldly, sensual things. He'd love to go to heaven when
he dies if he could take his sin with him. The only thing that he wants
to be delivered of is not his sin, but he wants to be delivered
from physical punishment. If he could be delivered from
physical punishment, then he'd take Christ. See? Ah, the strong man, he's armed
in with unbelief, indifference, ignorance, self-sufficiency,
enmity, and all that. But the stronger man, the stronger
man that I read to you from over here in the Book of Mark, let
me read it again and then we'll quit. Mark chapter 3. It says, No man can enter into
a strong man's house. Ah boy, I'll tell you, when I
say men are dead in trespasses and in sins, that's just part
of it. They're captured by the strong
man. And the strong man's fortress
is their nature, is their heart. No man can enter into the strong
man's house and spoil the goods, except he will first bind the
strong man. Our Lord Jesus Christ bound the
strong man. He bruised his head, didn't he?
That's what it says in the third chapter of the book of Genesis.
Right after sin entered into this world, God was on the scene,
and God said, Perseid, the seed of Christ, will bruise your head. He'll bruise his head. He'll
bruise your head. He bound! He bound! That strong
man invaded his house. Find a strong man, he'll support
this. Well, I hope you got something good out of that. Let's stand
and we'll sing.
