But if you are a fool, you can
still be prepared to die. It's for the best that the world
can be a better place. All right, back to George's song,
please. What a novel to give the Muslim
man, Joseph Smithy. Smithy. He was a fitting son of the Lord
Jesus Christ. As we have noted before, the
Lord did not submit to the Lord's
immediate powers, such as the Smith family outside. He was
kind, very small person. I don't know about the person. Thirteen years, he was very patient. Because there was lots of times
he took slower anger. He wasn't angry with him. He
didn't get angry with him. He was thankful. Willing to forgive. He was ready
to forgive. If all that sounds familiar,
those are. Scripture is very good to provide
more Jesus Christ, just like Him. Now, these ten sons of Jacob,
these ten sons of Jacob, weren't, weren't, weren't saints. Now,
who was a saint? Who was a saint? Hmm? I don't understand. They weren't, they weren't, they
weren't worthy of the least of Joseph's saints. Yet, he left
them. to me. He loved me and was merciful
to me, and frankly, for a very good while. And not only does
he show mercy to men, but as he stares at them with great
mercy, he's going to make all his goodness stand before him,
right out front of him, before the throne. And that I would
only forgive them if they had asked for it, which they did
say in public when he wrote this letter, amused with them. These men were saved because
Joseph was on the phone. And so were all the
sons of David. Saved because they were being
stopped by the company every night. He doesn't look. That's perfect. All right. Pass
it up next to Joseph the Provider. This is perfect. Two, two poems. Two ladies. All right. Thank
you, ma'am. Joseph's broken heart is perfect,
and Joseph's care is perfect, too. All right. Verse 23 again. Look at it. Verse 23. They said
these brethren knew not that Joseph understood them. They
were talking among themselves. They were confessing their guilt,
one to another. And they didn't know that Joseph
understood them. They thought he was a gypsy,
you know, and they couldn't stand their language, and he probably
made it so he wasn't Lutheran anymore. And, uh, what he did, he understood
that, as he spoke, he said, this is in my interpreter. Whatever
Joseph had to say, he spoke through a man. And whatever they wanted
to say to Joseph, they told him to do that. And that's what we've
got to see here. Now God speaks to us. And as it says in 1 Corinthians
5, the three brothers, who is this Christian? God speaks through
me every day, prophets, apostles, evangelists, fanatics, things
of the sort, you know. And, uh, there's a fellow here
with me, and he's not here. Oh, he's, uh, and he speaks to
God through us. Except, uh, most of them stood
there. They said, you don't stand there. Heh. He hadn't stood there
all that long, and many of them left him, too. He may be. What's he trying to get me here?
Hebrews chapter 2. This is just one of the most
blessed, precious passages. It's in all of God's Word. Without
a doubt. Hebrews chapter 2. Joseph understood
me. Why? Because he's not. He was known where no one else
was going. Look at Hebrews chapter 2, verses
16 through 18. There, Christ took up on him
the nature of angels, and just like on the angels, He took away
the angels. Wherefore in all things, it is the good news of
being made like unto this man, that he must rise, that he might
be merciful. That thankful high priest who
stands at the hand of the God and makes reconciliations with
the saints and the people. For if he himself had suffered
the incestors, he's able to suffer them all. See, that's perfect. Look over at chapter 12, another
lesson from verses 15 and 16. Hebrews 4, 15 and 16. We have
not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feet of God
alone. He was an alcoholic. He said, that's what we are here
for. All right, back to the text now.
So, uh, he understood it all right. He was. He understood
it all right. But he couldn't, he had it. In circumstance, he interpreted
it. Let's suppose he was joking,
speaking to a woman. He was joking, speaking to a
woman. In the same way, he interpreted
it. And it was just in the letter. And now, upon hearing this letter,
this is important. Upon hearing them confess their
guilt. See, before this, you remember,
he's facing up right here. And we saw it Sunday morning
happen when God first healed him. He was healed. When God
is going to speak to a human being in salvation and reveal
the Lord Jesus Christ to that person, He doesn't speak peace
and love and kindness to them. No, He speaks love for us, like
Joseph did it. And when it's over, God speaks
love for God's people. We've got to begin by seeing
it. And God took a big slash through
the water and called us what we are, gave us what we are,
healed us, but at the same time gave us guilt, first of all. Now, they heard this, and it began to be worthwhile.
Joseph Heard was looking at this. And they began to feel
their guilt in that they were worthy of it. And they began
to confess it. And Joseph heard that. And after
hearing him confess that he had saved the most critical, right
at the back, he turned himself about from losing the boy. I know, it appeared that Joseph,
he was beautiful. It appeared that Joseph, he knew
what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. And it's
called hearing their repentance, their change. It was not even
God's will. And he wept tears of joy. And God's good providence and
salvation and so forth. All, everything coming back to
him. And he says, and he returned
to Ben-Hagin. He wept. The old guy wept. And now he can have communion
with these spirits. You see? Because they confess. They were broken when the throne
fell down. Now he can have something to do with it. And this is exactly what Isaiah
said. And Isaiah said to the saints,
could this man know me? This is what God said. And we
didn't know him. And what I heard, he said, to
this man and woman, I'm not going to look upon any human being,
I'm not going to speak to them, or be spoken to them, or have
mercy upon them, or grace for them, or tell them about my love,
or give them the provision of salvation, unless I first hear
their confession and their feelings, and their own wisdom. To this man and woman that I
look, to he that is loved, Poor little thing. Broken heart. Calm
down. And true hypnosis. That's the
way I look at it. You see that? They were
scared of Joseph. They were afraid. They didn't
know him. They were afraid of him. They
were suspicious of him. And now he could have something
to do with it. It's amazing. Look at that man
go. He was trying to win the game. And some of them were there,
and some of them didn't. They communed with him. Now,
time is going by, and he's supposed to be very short, and you need
to know that a lot of days are going by, and he communes with
them. Time, he's talking with them,
and they're with him for a good while here. And in the process
of time, though, it says, verse 24, He took from them trillions. He took trillions that bound
Him before their eyes. He took trillions that bound
Him before their eyes. You see Christ in every line
of these stories. Christ is all and in all of this. These men are going to go through.
Why? Because one man is mad. There's no way that it'll go
through. One man is going to be found and be held accountable
for the rest of his life. I've got a picture of Christ
with it. Didn't Christ say that in the
Garden of Eden? That Christ is in the Garden
and so is it. That's bad news. the Pharisee
and told his king that I could hear him hear what he said. And
he said, do you see this? And that's what he said. Take this. And by looking at
this, I took him a mile down the road there. Do you see that? Do you see that? And so soon
he drew the picture that I'd never had before. Verse twenty-five. Now, here's Joseph's pair of
his boots. And they still don't know it. They don't know it. But they're being changed, and
they're being saved. They're being saved. You know? They're being saved. Listen,
who's one of those prophets, salvationists? They're being
saved. From the time that they heard the call, they're calling,
they're salvationists. You see, this is the way it is.
When God travels in it, when the gospel talk, from the time
God first opens our ears to hear the gospel talk, there is mercy,
there is grace for the hearer. There's a law in man's travel.
There's a left gate. From the time he first would
be in fact. Paul said to Corinthians, he said, Oh, I thank God who
has delivered us, who does deliver us, and I trust we'll get there. You see, all those people who
delivered were saved when God gave the commandment, when God
gave the order, when God purposed it to go the way it was made,
when God chose the people. They were still saved, I think,
weren't they? In time, they have to be saved. Christ has to come, be made flesh
and blown on fire, and be made a woman, made in the Galilee,
redeemed in the Galilee, to pay their sins, to work out their
righteousness. He has to do this in time. And,
in time, we've got to hear the gospel. And he said to me, and
every one of my people, all of the sons will be saved. And they're
all here to stop the cross. Every one of them. And I said,
here are my brothers and sisters. They're here to stop the cross.
And they repeated that psalm about these sons of Joseph. And
the Lord answered from you, too. And He showed the lips, Himself.
He revealed Himself. They don't know him yet, really.
But Joseph knows and loves him, and he's purposed their salvation. Look at verse 25. Then Joseph
commanded to fill their sacks with corn. Joseph gave the commandment. Fill their sacks with corn. Fill them. He gave the commandment. Listen to these verses. God has given commandment to
save men, ladies and gentlemen. God has given commandment. See, if a human being says, God has
given us, and when he, just as when he said so, They're not
saved when they say so. They're not saved when the soldier
says so. They're not saved when the preacher says so. They're
saved when God says so. And He gives the command, and
when He gives the command, it stands fast. The Lord gave the
command, and it stood fast. He said, I've spoken it, I'll
do it. He said this in Psalm 133, the
Lord commanded to bless him. He didn't lie or whatever. The Lord commands for us to be
filled with the Spirit. The Lord commands us to be filled
with the gospel. Open their eyes, some will say.
Open their ears, some will give them ears. Open their hearts,
some will talk about it. Even before we knew Him, He gave
the command to fill us up. Look at the next verse. It says,
And Joseph gave the command to restore every man's ministry
to the sight. There were Egyptians who paid
for this stuff. Uh, Mexicans, Spaniards were
paying for this stuff. They were all paying for this
stuff. Everybody was paying for this stuff. But not this stuff. It was first, this, this for
a colon, was first. This wine and milk was what African
Indians had. to all the sins of God, to all
the evil. And He commanded, to store every
man's money. This is all a picture of what
Christ has given us that we've lost in Adam. We've lost the
Spirit. He said, quote, He restored us
back to the Father and given us every provision. Adam had
to earn it. There you go. I'll give it to
you. Look at the next one. Give them provisions for the
war. Provide their every need for the war. Fill their sacks. You see, this is something in
addition to the building of the town. Fill up their sacks with
corn. Give them money. Give them the
money now. They don't need the money to
open it. And, uh, give them a little bit extra for the money. Give
them some of that. What do we got? Give him some
of that. Give him some more. He just kept giving it to him. For the ages of the world, we
find no sound hither, but all goes around. And all around he
heard it. And all around. First place here.
They said, oh, maybe there is a good poem in the private pen.
Now, they came laden with you, and they lay laden with this
one. They came laden down with you. If you come over here and lay
down or something along the lines of that, who's under there tonight? You. This is where you're going to
be crucified tomorrow. Righteousness? What is righteousness? It's a
gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. You've come worldly for this
righteousness, for this forgiveness, for this worship, for this blessing. You've come laden and heavy laden.
You've gone laden with blessings. There you are. That's what you
should have. Open your mouth. That's it. Open
your mouth. Laden and on the way. He gave
him the things on the way. A few days later, Alright, that's
a problem. Few days late, few days went
by. Okay? They made it. Now there's trouble about this
Indian. Now this is a true story. This is actually happening. He's
a real leader. Has a real man on that throne.
Has a real family. They've got real problems, real
trouble, real fears. Real troubles, real afflictions.
This is a real deal. And it really, it really got
bad. But they were, they were, they
were confused, you see. All sorts of troubling thoughts
were going through their minds, you know. One minute they were
us, and the next minute they were him. One minute they were
George, what's he doing? The next minute they were him. Now, they'd leave, and they're
troubled about swimming. Swimming is still bad. But they've got all this corn. They've got mules laying down
with corn and all the, you know, goods just loaded down, all that's
carried out. And it's got that trouble, but
yet they're going to be blessed. And they've got the promise of
the man. You understand what I'm saying? They've got the promise of the
man right there. He's come back where it's from. That's it. And maybe that's the last thing
you say to him. But you need to say, you know, what more could
you say to him than what you've said? And he gave you all these
tokens of his goodness. If he's going to kiss him, if
he's going to kill him, why would he give them to him? Why would he give them to him? It made all these sense. How
does that work? If they're too bad, they may
not be all that bad, don't you think? So, you just come out and turn around,
hmm? And look at Earth. Well, look
for skin. You see these things, they're
tempered. Remember the passage in 3 J.C. Boyle? He very self-certified
conservative. that they are the best of it.
But the Lord has set the world against the earth. In the end,
it may or may not be my family that's going to have to do it.
We don't have problems and afflictions, and I want to bless them. Why? We want to save them. There's far more to do than asking
happiness from people. Well, a few days went by. I started
going on the road. It's a long way. It wasn't a
night. It's a long way from where I
got those maps to where you're looking. From Egypt all the way
back to... It's been a long trip, but, you
know, it's been a long journey. And you know they're talking
about all this stuff. Bouts and fears and troubles
and gifts. He seems like a good man. He's
loaded on his family. I know he's fearful and fearing,
and he's a great master, but he's got time, look at that. And I think, I bet you
Reuben said to Judah, I think he, he looks familiar to me. He looks like somebody, he looks
like he knows me. Well, anyway, they went on. In verse 27, they stopped in
the evening, okay? They stopped on the way. And
that one of them opened his sack to give his ass to the poor lady. And Saul was in the mountainside. You see, they gave this man,
they thought that he was dying or something, and they gave him
in. And Joseph gave commandment.
And think of it. It was a spirit commandment. It was a spirit commandment.
He said, you put that man back in the sack. See, they thought they had to
pay for it. They had to do something with this company. That's why. It's a charity campaign. So it's
not all of this company that pays for it. And you realize
that's actually kind of a little bit big. I mean, there's no telling. This is only coming in a little
bit. How much money should really be cost? When disaster strikes. When the blasts are strong, there's
no good damage. You have to start the shooting
process with good wood. Hardwood is so old, you know.
Flywood was worth $150.00 a sheet, stuff like that. I said, I don't
believe you're letting me live. How much did it cost? I bet it
cost over anything. It cost me nothing. But they
gave him money. They thought it probably cost
them something. Well, they got, well, he and one of them, I don't
know who it was, but he opened his sack and there was money
in there. And he said, he said, but my
money is restored, and now it's even in my sack, and all of their
hearts failed them, and they were afraid. And they said, let
me know, what's this? What is this that God has done
for us? What has God done for us? Well, you know, you can look
at this two ways. You can look at this as a standard of jealousy,
as a greed, and full of salvation that we have. What has God done
for us? It's still in the salvation state.
We, as women, think we have to do something. We have to establish
a right. We have to do that. We have to put that. We have
to do that. That's right. That's right. It's only for the
gifted. That's the only condition. The
only condition to make you worthy of this salvation is that you're
unworthy. Unworthy. Gifted. For you to be gifted. Well, but these gentlemen, now
what they're saying here, He is all we know. That is God's
plan for us. That is God's plan for us. You see, all these blessings. Blessings on top of blessings.
Blessings on top of blessings. Come such as come. Yet they live. God's been good. God's been a
good man. You ever think that? How long have we lived now? Sixty-some years? Huh? Seventy-some
years? Let me ask you something. Let
me ask you. After all this time, I bet you,
I bet you that after all this time you think, you stop and
think, You feel guilty, or you feel
ashamed, or you do something, and I bet you anything's in your
mind, God's going to get it out. Right? Yeah, I ain't done nothing
like that. This is it. It's all over now.
I've talked. His mother screamed on with no
more voice for me. Oh, no. His provider told me
all these years, now I'm retired and don't have much merit. Doesn't
mean a nice work, huh? What has God done to me now? What is He doing now? He saved me. What He's doing here,
Bethlehem, He's bringing them down to nothing. to despair of themselves and
everything about them. They're going to have to utterly
feel their guilt and their remorse and their desperation and totally
cast themselves on the mercy of which Lord in the temple?
And this is what they're going to end up doing. So it's all
over. They're all just going to, just get out! They're going
to quit saying there's two men, there's this and that. I'm just
going to get out. They're just going to say, please
have mercy on us. Come on. Until Joseph can find
himself in another, in the other world. in the blessings of Christ. You know, when we first believed,
these are young, they just now came back from hearing Joseph
now, okay? We were young believers. I remember
as a young believer thinking, well, this is too good to be
true. This is too good to be true.
I mean, surely it's not. Surely he has no mercy for me,
you know. You believe the church, but then
a little while goes by and you have a bias. What's God going
to do with me? Surely he's going to be done
with me. No. No, he's not. Because of this
and calling him God, he's without intention. Salvation's a gift. It's without
intention. That means he doesn't take it
back. What he gives, he never takes back. He gave it little
money, but if he had been calling the doctor, he heard the doctor
call. It wasn't I, it was the same person. It wasn't easy. They shut themselves. They said,
they're not cheating. That's what they did. And they
knew what was to come. And they were here from then
on, without repentance. R.B.U. In fact, these fellows,
they're faking. What is happening to us now? Well, far be it for Joseph to
do anything bad to them. He's too kind. He's too merciful. Far be it. In fact, they haven't
seen heaven yet. They haven't even commenced to
get started again, see, with goodness and mercy and goodness.
They've only had a little try. The next time, then, they'll
take off. But they're still fearful. They
should be. Shouldn't they? You know, they should be. They're
going to say, oh, good God, we love the sons of Jacob. They
ought to ever consider who they are, what they've done. They
need to be mindful of that, ever mindful of this, don't they?
Keep that in mind, don't ever, don't ever forget that. See,
that makes Joseph. They keep remembering what they,
you know, what they are. That makes this man's mercy that
much sweeter. That makes this man's grace that
much more great. That makes this man's kindness.
Every ounce of kindness, every grain of coal, is infinite mercy. Keep that in mind, boys. Keep that in mind. Now they're
guilty, they really are, and they should be fixed, they should
be. But they don't really yet realize who that is out there.
They just don't fully realize. And I know I'm getting rid of myself.
But when Joseph reveals himself to me, he says it's right there. I'm here, right there. They'd be scared to death, and
they'd find out who didn't say it. I mean, it's not nice. And they're fearful, because
they're no good. They're thoughtless good. And
that ought to just delete all their feelings. Verse 35, I got
the verse. Now, he told, they go home, and
I'm not going to read those verses there, 29 through 34. They went
home and told their dad. That was their confession. They
confessed a lawyer on film. That's so pretty. They confessed
a lawyer on film. They confessed that they won't get to go back
unless they bring their son with them. What a picture of our confession
that is. Verse thirty-five, And our of
them, when they came to pass, as they are lifted their sacks,
behold, every man's mother was motherly back. And so it is with
the gospel of salvation. And verse 36, their father, Jacob,
he said, he reminds them again of their guilt. From here on
out, they don't forgive anybody. You understand that? They don't
forgive you that. Nobody will ever forgive you. The Father reminds them. Look
at it. He says unto them, uh, me have
you believed in my children? He didn't. He didn't suspect
them about Joseph Dickens. You understand what I'm talking
about here? Jacob, you know, he's telling that story to his
children. I mean, here, he may be guilty. He may be. He may be. And so it is with
all of us. We're guilty. I was barely guilty
concerning the death of God's Son. Huh? Yes, we are. Let me read to you from Isaiah
53. It says here, and my dear sister,
it means something to you. Surely He has borne our grief,
carried our sorrow. Yet we did esteem Him stricken,
smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgression.
He was bruised for our iniquity. The chest hath been of our pieces
upon Him. With His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray. We are our return, every one
to his own death. But the Lord laid on Him the
iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted.
Remember Joseph? We didn't hear anything from
him. But he opened not his mouth. He thought it was a lamb that
was slaughtered, a sheep before her shearers had gone. So he
opened and not his mouth. He was taken from prison and
from judgment. Who shall declare his generation?"
And Joseph was thought to be dead. And he preached the Lord
to be with him, to put him to grief. God made his soul not
for sin. He forsook his sin. He shall prolong his days." He's
not dead. Joseph's not dead. He's on the
throne. He hath prolonged his days. The
place of the Lord shall prosper in his name, the prosperous man.
He shall see that the travail of his soul will be satisfied,
and by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify me. And I'll provide him a portion
with the grace. And he will provide the spoil. Isn't that amazing? Absolutely amazing. Then in verse 36, Joseph said,
everything's against me. Now flesh is in between his God. Reuben here, I've got to finish
this chapter. Reuben said, His father slayed
me, slayed my two sons before I break the covenant. Reuben
tried to be sure of it. Reuben said, let me be sure of
anything. He slayed my two sons. I'll bring
him back to you. Verse 38, Jacob said, the father
said, no, he's not going to. Reuben can't be sure. You know, Judah came to see the
very next chapter. Judah said, let me be chosen.
David said, okay. He changed his mind about the
inscription, he said. And he'll not go down with you.
It wasn't time yet for the Son to go and resume the city. And all the rest of them would
come, but it was in the fullness of time, in this church, in the
fullness of time, the Father would send his Son, and would
be with them all. And when the Lord of them all
sees that Son, Father wouldn't shout. All right. Let's stand. It doesn't apply, but thank you
for your word. Thank you for our Lord on earth
and his great mercy, grace, and kindness to us. Our elder brother, our holy master,
our saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, whom you sent before us to save
much people alive as it lay this way. We thank you for this story
and for understanding of it. We place in blood and reveal
it to us with the Father. Now we thank you that you have
revealed these things in us and our children. We thank you. Bring us together again this
Lord's Day. Watch over your people. Bring
them back safely. We may be having questions right
now. It is good.
