How can we rejoice in difficult times?

Answered in 1 source

We can rejoice in difficult times by anchoring our joy in the knowledge of God’s salvation and His promises.

In difficult times, rejoicing may seem challenging, yet it is possible by focusing on the unchanging truths of God’s Word and His character. Habakkuk 3:17-18 illustrates this beautifully as the prophet declares he will rejoice even in the face of adversity. True rejoicing comes from understanding that our hope and joy are not contingent upon our circumstances but rather on God’s steadfast love and faithfulness. When we meditate on our salvation—the fact that Christ died for us and secured our eternal destiny—we find reasons to rejoice, regardless of our current trials. Additionally, as believers, we can encourage one another to look beyond the momentary struggles and lift our eyes to the Lord, who is our ultimate source of joy and comfort.
