How do we attain the righteousness needed for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

We attain righteousness for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, who provides perfect righteousness.

The righteousness necessary for salvation is not something we can produce on our own; it is a gift that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:3-4 explains that by rejecting God’s way of righteousness and trying to establish our own, we miss out on the righteousness that comes from faith. Only through Christ’s perfect obedience and sacrifice can we be reconciled to God. His righteousness is credited to believers, allowing us to stand justified before a holy God and receive the ultimate gift of eternal life.
