How do we know Christ fulfills the law's requirements?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture affirms that Christ is the fulfillment of the law, both in His life and sacrificial death (Matthew 5:17, Romans 10:4).

Christ's role as the fulfillment of the law is confirmed in Matthew 5:17 where He states, 'Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.' This fulfillment includes both His perfect life lived in complete obedience to the law and His atoning death, which satisfied the justice of God. Paul reiterates this in Romans 10:4, making it clear that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. Believers are made righteous through their faith in Christ, who alone met the law's demands and provides the perfect righteousness that God requires.
