How do we know Christ is central to our election unto salvation?

As Ephesians 1:4 indicates, we were chosen in Christ before the world began, affirming that our election is rooted in His preeminence. This conveys that Christ is central to our salvation. Our election is not based on any merit of our own but is a gracious act of God. Understanding this truth humbles us because our salvation's origin is entirely in God's sovereign decision, reinforcing that Christ, being the 'first elect,' is crucial in all aspects of salvation's process, including election.
