How do we know Christ is the desire of all nations?

The concept of Christ being the 'desire of all nations' comes from Haggai 2:7, which states, 'I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come.' This means that, while not every individual from every nation will desire Him, God has elected a remnant from every tribe and nation who will. Those chosen by God experience a new birth, which instills in them a genuine desire for Christ. The promise is that as part of the everlasting covenant of grace, He will bring salvation to all who are called, signifying that regardless of earthly distinctions, the true fulfillment of our spiritual longing and the ultimate satisfaction of our hearts is found in Christ alone.
