How do we know Christ's incarnation was necessary?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's incarnation was essential to fulfill the law and atone for the sins of His people.

The necessity of Christ's incarnation is grounded in the fact that He had to become like us in order to fulfill the debt we owed to God due to our sins. According to Hebrews 2:14-17, Jesus partook of our flesh and blood to destroy the power of death and to act as our surety. His incarnation allowed Him to be made under the law, fulfilling its demands perfectly on behalf of His people, thereby satisfying divine justice through His sacrificial death.
