How do we know Christ's work of salvation cannot be lost?

The assurance of eternal salvation is rooted in the understanding of Christ as our intercessor. His continuous intercession is a testament to the completeness of His sacrifice and the efficacy of His righteousness. Theologically, if Christ is continually before the Father on our behalf, and if our acceptance is based on His merits rather than our own, we can be confident that those whom He has saved will never be lost. As stated in the sermon, 'if God brings us to rest in and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ...as long as he intercedes for us, we cannot perish.' This is reinforced throughout Scripture, affirming that our standing before God is secure in Christ.
