How do we know God's grace is for the lost?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace extends to the lost as He seeks to save those chosen for salvation by revealing Christ’s righteousness and mercy.

God's grace is fundamentally linked to His purpose of seeking and saving the lost. In Matthew 15:21-28, the Canaanite woman exemplifies this grace, as she, though unworthy by societal standards, finds mercy in Christ. The preacher emphasizes that God’s elect, or lost sheep, are recipients of His sovereign grace, lovingly sought and redeemed. Romans 9:6-8 makes it clear that not all who are called Israel are of Israel; true children of God are those given to Christ by the Father, and His grace is active in their salvation. Therefore, God's grace is powerfully at work to gather His lost sheep into His fold, as demonstrated in Christ's sacrificial love.
