How do we know God withholds enjoyment from the wicked?

Answered in 1 source

God withholds enjoyment from those who do not please Him, meaning those who are wicked or outside of His grace.

The preacher in Ecclesiastes explains that God gives the ability to enjoy life’s blessings only to those who are pleasing in His sight. This implies that the wicked, who may acquire wealth and success, cannot truly enjoy these gifts because they are not in harmony with God's will. Hence, enjoyment is contingent upon a person's relationship with God through faith. The New Testament further supports this by asserting that faith is essential to please God and emphasizes that it is through Christ alone that we receive the ultimate enjoyment of life’s blessings. The inherent nature of sin separates man from the bounty of God’s grace, leading to a lifetime of striving for satisfaction that remains unfulfilled.
