How do we know if God has reconciled to us?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is reconciled to us through faith in Christ, not our works.

In Colossians 1:21-22, the Apostle Paul clarifies that even when we were enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of Christ. This reconciliation is not predicated on our actions but is based solely on the completed work of Christ on the cross. Assurance of God's love and reconciliation comes when we believe the gospel message that Christ died for our sins, proving His acceptance of us despite our sinful state. Our faith in this truth, rather than our works or feelings, provides the confidence we need that we are indeed reconciled.
