How do we know if we are vessels of mercy or wrath?

Answered in 1 source

You can know if you are a vessel of mercy by the calling of God in your life, leading you to faith in Christ (Romans 9:24).

In Romans 9, Paul explains that the distinction between vessels of mercy and vessels of wrath depends on God's sovereign calling. The vessels of mercy are those whom God has predestined for grace. This calling is exemplified in the powerful work of the Holy Spirit, who regenerates and brings sinners into repentance and faith. The assurance of being a vessel of mercy is tied to having experienced this divine calling—the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, revealing Christ and drawing individuals to faith. Hence, the call itself acts as evidence of being a chosen vessel prepared for glory.
