How do we know Jesus's sacrifice is true?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus’s sacrifice is affirmed in Scripture as the ultimate burnt offering, satisfying divine justice and bringing peace.

The New Testament consistently portrays Jesus as the ultimate burnt offering through His sacrificial death. Ephesians 5:2 speaks of Christ loving us and giving Himself as a sacrifice to God, which is presented as a sweet-smelling savor to the Father. His death fulfilled the requirements presented in the Old Testament sacrifices, establishing Him as the Lamb without blemish and the priest who made atonement. The effectiveness of His sacrifice assures the acceptance of those who believe, as God's justice is satisfied in Christ, and this promise is confirmed throughout the Scriptures. Therefore, faith in Christ’s sacrificial work is rooted deeply in the authority of God’s Word.
