How do we know our standing before God in Christ?

The security of a believer's standing before God is based on the finished work of Christ. Ephesians 3:3 states, 'For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.' This means that all our sins are forgiven and we are declared righteous through Christ's blood. Our justification stems not from our works or efforts, but solely from Christ's atoning sacrifice. Since God justifies us, no condemnation can be laid to our charge; this assurance comes from our faith in Christ and the understanding that we are hidden in Him, eternally secure regardless of our struggles in life.
