How do we know perseverance is true in a believer's life?

Answered in 1 source

Perseverance is evidenced by all of God's chosen people remaining steadfast in faith, as God preserves them.

The doctrine of perseverance assures believers that all whom God has chosen and redeemed will continue in faith until the end. As stated in John 10:27-29, Jesus declares that His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and that no one can snatch them from His hand. This means that true believers cannot lose their salvation because God, in His sovereignty and grace, preserves them. Their perseverance in faith is a demonstration of God’s active work in their lives.
