How do we know salvation is not based on good works?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible clearly states that no amount of good works can justify us before God, as seen in Romans 3:20.

Romans 3:20 affirms that by the deeds of the law, no flesh will be justified in the sight of God. This highlights that our efforts, no matter how commendable, fall short of God's perfect standard. Throughout Scripture, we see that salvation comes through faith in Christ alone and His complete righteousness. Any belief in justification by works undermines the grace of God and diminishes the work of Christ on the cross, leading us back to the truth that we are saved by faith, not by our own efforts.
