How do we know that Christ is the standard of righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

The New Testament clearly establishes that Christ is the measuring stick for righteousness through His sacrifice and imputed righteousness.

The New Testament teaches that Christ is the ultimate standard of righteousness for all believers. In Acts 17:31, the Scripture states that God will judge the world in righteousness by Jesus Christ. This conveys that the measuring rod by which God evaluates us is not our works or religious acts but Christ's righteousness, which is imputed to those who believe. The righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel, emphasizing that salvation and acceptance before God come solely through faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross. As a result, any attempt to measure up to God's standards outside of Christ is misguided and falls short of His glory.
