How do we know that Christ's atonement makes us pure?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's blood alone purifies us, fulfilling the requirement of purity for acceptance before God.

The atonement of Christ is central to our understanding of purification and is affirmed in Scripture, particularly Hebrews 9:14, which states that Christ, through His blood, cleanses our consciences from dead works. His sacrificial death was pure and unblemished, allowing Him to bear the sins of His people without becoming sinful Himself, as articulated in 1 Peter 1:19. This means that Christ's shed blood serves as the only remedy for our sin, making us pure in the eyes of God and qualifying us for His presence, as affirmed in Romans 8:33-34.
