How do we know that Christ's work ensures our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's work is the only grounds for salvation, satisfying God's justice on behalf of His elect.

The assurance of our salvation lies in the fact that Christ acted as our representative when He died on the cross. He paid the debt of sin that was due and imputed His righteousness to all for whom He died. The doctrine of unconditional election confirms that those who believe are chosen by God's grace, not by any merit of their own. This means that our faith is a response to His grace, and we can be confident in our salvation because it is rooted in what Christ has done rather than any decision we make.
