How do we know that God appoints our time to die?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible clearly states that it is appointed for men to die once, which is established by God's sovereign will.

Scripture teaches that our days and times are appointed by God, who is sovereign over life and death (Hebrews 9:27). This means that each person has a predetermined time when they will leave this earthly existence, a truth that ought to bring comfort rather than fear. As seen in the case of Adam, who began to die spiritually immediately after the Fall, the reality of death underscores humanity's need for salvation and grace through Christ. Understanding this appointment leads believers to live in the light of eternity, trusting in God’s perfect plan.
