How do we know that God saves us despite our sins?

Answered in 1 source

The story of the Exodus shows that God saves His people in spite of their unworthiness.

In the biblical narrative, particularly through the story of the Exodus, we see that the Hebrew children were not saved because of their piety but rather due to God's sovereign choice and mercy. Just as the Israelites were delivered from Egypt despite their murmuring and lack of faith, God saves sinners in spite of themselves. This points to the grace of God which changes the hearts of His people, enabling them to believe and desire salvation. It highlights that our salvation is not dependent on our works, but solely on God's will and purpose (Ephesians 1:4-5).
