How do we know that God will finish the work He started?

Answered in 1 source

We know God will finish His work because His commitment to us is grounded in His sovereignty and grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).

The assurance that God will finish the good work He has begun in believers is rooted in His sovereign will and unchanging nature. Ephesians 2:8-9 emphasizes that our salvation is entirely a gift from God, not based on human effort. This means that just as our salvation begins with God's grace, it also continues and concludes by His grace. When we look to Scripture, we see that God is faithful to His promises, and His work in the believer is a reflection of His character. If He has begun a good work in us, we can be confident that He will bring it to completion, as He is both faithful and powerful.
