How do we know that Jesus gave Himself willingly to die?

Throughout the Gospels, it is evident that Jesus was fully aware of the events leading to His death and willingly embraced them. In John 18:4, Jesus shows His awareness of what was coming and willingly strides towards those who seek Him, declaring, 'I am.' This assertion was profound, as it identified Him as God Himself. He also clearly articulates His intent to fulfill Scripture, emphasizing that all that was happening was according to the divine will predetermined by God. His arrest and ensuing crucifixion were not a result of an unfortunate turn of events but were orchestrated for the salvation of His people, fulfilling the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah.
