How do we know that Jesus is capable of saving us from our sins?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is capable of saving us because He took upon Himself our sins and secured our redemption through His death.

Jesus Christ's capability to save originates from His unique nature as both God and man, fulfilling the requirements of divine justice. In Isaiah 9:6, He is given titles such as 'Mighty God' and 'Prince of Peace,' indicating His authority over sin and His ability to reconcile us with God. His sacrifice on the cross was not just a potential saving act but a definitive one, where He bore the sins of His people, fulfilling the law's demands and thereby securing their salvation (Hebrews 10:14). We rest in the assurance that His death accomplished what it intended without failure, as seen in John 19:30 when He proclaimed, 'It is finished.'
