How do we know that Jesus is the true King of righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is recognized as the true King of righteousness based on prophecy and His fulfillment of the righteous requirements of the law.

Prophecies throughout the Old Testament point to the coming of a King who would establish righteousness and justice. For instance, Isaiah 9:6-7 describes a child born to reign on David's throne with a government bound by justice and peace. This prophecy is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who embodies the righteousness that the kingdom requires. He upholds the law perfectly, satisfying God's demands and offering Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for sin. As believers, we recognize Jesus not only as our Savior but as our King whose reign is characterized by perfect justice and grace (Jeremiah 23:5-6). This establishes our faith in Him and the legitimacy of His kingdom.
