How do we know that suffering for Christ is valuable?

In Philippians 1:29, Paul explains that it has been granted to believers not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for His sake. This perspective of suffering as a gift might seem counterintuitive, yet it aligns with the biblical narrative that attributes immense value to suffering endured for righteousness. Such trials test our faith, refine our character, and deepen our reliance on God.
