How do we know that we are elect according to the foreknowledge of God?

The assurance of one's election comes through faith in the Gospel. As presented in 1 Peter 1:2, the elect are identified according to the foreknowledge of God the Father. When an individual responds positively to the message of salvation, demonstrating belief in the Gospel, this indicates that they are among those chosen by God for salvation.
