How do we know the church replaced Israel?

Answered in 1 source

The concept is better defined as fulfillment theology, where the church encompasses the true Israel through Christ's redemptive work.

The preacher Bill Parker clarifies that the perspective is not that the church has merely replaced Israel, but that there has been a fulfillment of God's promises and covenant. Fulfillment theology holds that the Old Testament foreshadowed the church, which is now the true Israel of God comprised of both Jews and Gentiles who believe in Christ. The distinction arises from God's plan of salvation which culminates in Christ, as described in Hebrews 9, where Jesus fulfills the law and the covenant. Therefore, rather than replacement, what occurs is a fulfillment of God's promises as the church embodies the spiritual heirs of the covenant.
