How do we know the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth?

Answered in 1 source

The Holy Spirit testifies about Christ and leads believers to recognize Him as the truth.

The Holy Spirit is referred to as the Spirit of truth in Scripture. In John 14:6, Jesus declares Himself as the truth, establishing that genuine knowledge of God and salvation comes through Him. When the Holy Spirit indwells a believer, He provides understanding and assurance of Christ's work, leading believers to a deeper relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit will not direct attention toward self or other false teachings; instead, He continuously illuminates the truth found in Christ and His Word.
