How do we know the Lord is with us?

Answered in 1 source

We know the Lord is with us through our faith in Christ and recognition of our need for His mercy.

The assurance of God's presence comes from recognizing our position before Him as sinners in need of His grace. As stated in Matthew 1:21, Jesus came to save His people from their sins, indicating that those who trust in Him and see their need for salvation can be confident that the Lord is with them. Furthermore, the Scriptures assert that God's presence in our lives is not contingent upon our goodness but rather on His mercy and grace. Hebrews 13:5 states, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you,' assuring believers that God's commitment to His people is unwavering, no matter the circumstances we face. Therefore, if you see yourself as a sinner relying solely on Christ for salvation, you can have the assurance that He is with you.
