How do we know we are called to come to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The drawing of the Father to Christ is evidence of divine calling, as seen in John 6:44.

In John 6:44, Jesus makes it clear that no one can come to Him unless the Father draws them. This draws our attention to the sovereignty of God in salvation, affirming that it is not our own efforts or decision that lead us to Christ but rather God's initiation of grace. The Father exercises His will, drawing His chosen people to His Son, ensuring that all who are given to Christ will indeed come to Him. Therefore, the awareness of our own spiritual burden and the desire to seek relief in Christ signifies that the Holy Spirit is at work within us, prompting us to respond to Jesus' call.
