How does faith function in our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Faith functions as the God-given means by which we believe in and receive salvation through Christ.

Faith is not merely an intellectual assent but a divinely granted instrument enabling believers to trust in Christ for salvation. Romans 3:26 points out that God is both just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. This faith acknowledges our inability to save ourselves and leads us to rely solely on Christ's work for our justification. It is through this faith that we receive the righteousness of Christ, as highlighted in Romans 5:1 where we are justified by faith and enjoy peace with God.
