How does God give us understanding of His Word?

God imparts understanding of His Word primarily through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. In John 6:44-45, Jesus explains that no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him, emphasizing divine initiative in our understanding. The Spirit works in conjunction with the Scriptures, illuminating our path and revealing Christ in them. In Nehemiah 8, we see that the Levites helped the people understand the law, highlighting the need for sound biblical teaching guided by the Spirit. This understanding enables believers to recognize their sinfulness, embrace Christ’s sacrifice, and live in accordance with God's will.
