How does God's power affect His promises to believers?

Answered in 1 source

God's power ensures that His promises are infallible and will come to pass for all who believe.

God's power is intrinsic to the nature of His promises. When He assures us of salvation or provides us with hope and blessing, His omnipotence guarantees these promises will be fulfilled. For instance, in Genesis 17, God's covenant with Abraham is based on His ability to perform what He has declared, even when circumstances seem impossible, such as Abraham and Sarah's advanced age (Genesis 17:1). The fulfillment of God's promises reflects His character, revealing that He is not only willing but also able to complete what He has started in His people, as indicated in Philippians 1:6, where it affirms that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion. Hence, believers can rest assured that God's power undergirds every promise made in Scripture.
