How does grace transform our identity in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

By grace, we are transformed from wretched sinners into beloved children of God.

The transformative power of grace is foundational in Reformed theology. In our natural state, we are described as wretched and alienated from God due to sin (Romans 5:10). However, through the grace of Jesus Christ, believers are made new creations. 2 Corinthians 5:17 states, 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.' This new identity as children of God includes being called noblemen, indicating our elevated status and standing before the Lord, solely based on His grace and mercy.
