How does one receive the righteousness of God?

Answered in 1 source

Righteousness is received through faith in Christ, who is our righteous advocate before God.

Receiving the righteousness of God is not based on our works, but rather on our faith in Christ's completed work. Romans 10:4 makes it clear that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. As we trust in Jesus, His perfect righteousness is imputed to us, which justifies us before God. We cannot achieve this status through our efforts or merits but must rely solely on Christ's sacrifice and advocacy as our great High Priest, as noted in Hebrews 4:14-16.
