How does serving righteousness lead to holiness?

Answered in 1 source

Serving righteousness leads to holiness as it reflects our submission to Christ and manifests His character in our lives.

In Romans 6:19-23, Paul explains that believers, having been set free from the bondage of sin, are now to yield their members as instruments of righteousness unto holiness. Serving righteousness involves actively living out one’s faith through obedience to God's commandments and submission to Christ as Lord. This is not about achieving perfection through works but about reflecting the character of Christ in our lives—being transformed by His grace. As believers serve righteousness, they begin to bear fruit that aligns with God's holiness, demonstrating a life that is contrary to the unregenerate world. The pursuit of holiness is thus an active response to God’s work in us, empowered by the Spirit, resulting in a life that glorifies God.
