What are the effects of false doctrine?

Answered in 1 source

False doctrine leads to spiritual peril and separation from the truth of Christ.

The presence of false doctrine poses significant risks to believers, as Paul indicates in 2 Timothy 3:13, where he warns that evil men and seducers will grow worse, deceiving and being deceived. False doctrines distort the true character of God and the gospel, leading people away from the essential truths needed for salvation and godly living. This can ultimately deny the power of godliness and render the church ineffective. Therefore, discernment in doctrine is vital for all who seek to uphold sound theology in their lives.
