What does it mean that we cannot keep the Law?

Answered in 1 source

It means that we, by nature, fall short of God's righteousness and are in need of Christ's grace.

The inability to keep the Law suggests that no individual can achieve the perfect righteousness that God requires. Scriptures like Galatians 3:10 tell us that those who rely on the works of the Law are under a curse, as no one can fulfill all its demands without failing at any point. This reality is foundational in Reformed theology, pointing to the necessity of Christ's atoning work and the imputation of His righteousness to sinners. Therefore, we rely on God's sovereign grace through faith in Christ rather than our own efforts.
