What does the Bible say about being furnished unto good works?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that believers are fully equipped for good works by God's grace in Christ.

In 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Paul emphasizes that the scriptures are essential for making believers complete or 'perfect' and thoroughly furnished for all good works. This completeness comes from our relationship with Christ, who is the source of our righteousness. Without Christ, our works cannot be deemed good in the sight of God, because all righteousness must originate from Him. It is through the Holy Spirit's application of God's word that believers are taught and empowered to perform good works intended by God.
