What does the Bible say about being truly blessed?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that being truly blessed means being graced by God, acknowledging our spiritual poverty, and receiving salvation through Jesus Christ.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus describes who is blessed in the eyes of God. Through the Beatitudes, He shows that being truly blessed goes beyond worldly happiness and involves an acknowledgment of our spiritual poverty. Those who are blessed are the ones whom God has chosen and justified, saved by grace through faith in Christ. To be blessed is to be in a right relationship with God through Jesus, whose righteousness is imputed to us, granting us the kingdom of heaven and eternal life.
