What does the Bible say about God's love and fear?

1 John 4:18 states, 'There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.' This speaks to a special love that exists among believers in Christ, as opposed to the natural fear that accompanies sin and judgment. God's love casts out the fear of condemnation because it is rooted in the acceptance of the sacrifice of Christ, which satisfies divine justice.
