What does the Bible say about Jesus being a sanctuary?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible describes Jesus as a sanctuary, a holy and safe place for His people, providing protection and redemption.

In Isaiah 8:14, the prophet Isaiah foretells that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will be a sanctuary for His people. This sanctuary signifies a holy place set apart, a resting point where believers find safety from life's adversities. Christ fulfills this role by being our security, redeemer, and righteousness; He takes upon Himself our sins, allowing us to stand before God without condemnation. This sanctuary role is not extended to everyone; only those chosen by God are granted this safety and peace in Christ.
