What does the Bible say about Jesus Christ as the key to Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the central figure and key to understanding all of Scripture.

According to John 5:39-47, Jesus Himself affirms that the Scriptures testify about Him. He instructs the Pharisees, who diligently searched the Scriptures, that they miss the point because they do not see that these writings point directly to Him. In essence, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals God’s unfolding plan for redemption through His Son, Jesus Christ. Each passage, while containing various truths, finds its ultimate meaning in Christ, who is central to the redemptive narrative throughout the entire canon of Scripture.
