What does the Bible say about the kings of Judah and Israel?

In the history of Israel as recorded in the books of Kings, it is noted that every king of the northern kingdom did evil in the sight of the Lord. This is contrasted with the kings of Judah, where a few, like Hezekiah, were described as doing right. This right conduct did not mean they were sinless, but rather that they led the people in worshiping the true God and repented of idol worship.
