What does the Bible say about the Old Covenant and New Covenant?

Answered in 1 source

The Old and New Covenants reveal that salvation has always been through God's grace, not by works.

The Old Covenant was given to Israel and included laws and ordinances meant to reveal sin and point to Christ. Many mistakenly believed their participation in these practices brought salvation, but in reality, it was always God's grace that saved sinners, both under the Old Testament and the New. The Apostle Paul emphasizes in Romans 3 that the faithful of both Testaments are justified through Christ's righteousness, not their own works.
