Why are wars and conflicts significant in Christian theology?

Answered in 1 source

Wars and conflicts reflect the broader spiritual battles against sin and illustrate humanity's need for redemption.

Wars and conflicts in the world serve as reflections of humanity’s sinful nature and the spiritual warfare that exists within and without the church. They remind us that physical wars are symptomatic of a deeper spiritual problem caused by pride, greed, and rebellion against God. The Bible reveals that God is sovereign over these events; they occur within a framework set by His divine purpose. For the believer, these manifestations of judgment remind us of the necessity of Christ's intercession and our security in Him amidst turmoil.
