Why does the Lord care for His little ones?

Answered in 1 source

The Lord cares for His little ones because they are His chosen sheep, and it is His will that none should perish.

In Matthew 18:12-14, Jesus illustrates His care by describing how a shepherd will leave ninety-nine sheep to seek the one that is lost. This shows the personal and caring nature of the Lord towards His people. The passage concludes with the reassuring truth that it is not the Father's will for even one of His little ones to perish. His active pursuit of the lost reveals His commitment to our salvation and His fatherly love that encompasses protection and guidance for His children. This gives believers great comfort and assurance of His everlasting care.
