Why is Christ considered our sanctuary?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our sanctuary because He is our place of safety, salvation, and righteousness in the midst of judgment.

In this sermon, the preacher identifies Christ as the ultimate sanctuary for believers. He states that a sanctuary is a place of safety and sacrifice, and we find that in Christ alone. This is highlighted in Ezekiel 11:16, where God promises to be a sanctuary for His people even when in exile. The sanctuary in Christ offers forgiveness and the assurance of salvation, as expressed in Scripture—'Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies.' Therefore, our refuge and hope rest solely on Him, our Savior and Mediator.
